I initially gave this coat 5 stars.... it’s awesome, but for some reason the Velcro on the right sleeve won’t stick... what is very frustrating is that I contacted the manufacturer on this 4 days ago and I’ve gotten no reply . I read a lot of the reviews... and the issues mentioned on the zippers and the waist band appear to be addressed by the company. First off, I am 5'-10" tall and I weigh 200 lbs. I have a 36" waist, no six-pack, but a slight rounded belly. (jean size is 36 x 32) and this coat in XL fit me like it was custom tailored for me. It fits perfectly WITH some room for wearing a heavy sweater or down liner without the sleeves or shoulders feeling cramped. I still have a wide range of motion. The zippers work great, no snags. There IS an adjustable elastic cord around the very bottom of the jacket, as well as a cool wide waist band that snaps in front and has a 1/2" wide elastic that totally prevents any drafts from coming into the coat from the bottom. It is pictured in the description photos... I wondered what that was, and now I know.... it's a very cool feature. The wrist and thumb hole material at the end of the sleeves is very comfortable, and being a very slick stretch nylon, it will work well to keep the wind out. (you can use it with or without it going around your thumb). It fits snug around my wrist, but not so tight as to be a problem. It will definitely keep the drafts out of the sleeves. The green color is the one I ordered and the color is a bit more "spring green" than it shows in the photo... does it bug me a bit, sure, but I can't see returning it over that minor issue. Don't get me wrong, its a great looking coat... I just wish it was less "spring green" and more deep green. The unlined pockets are the only downside. Just a piece of outer shell separates your bare hands from the elements. I will be sewing up some fleece liners to be hand-sewn into the pockets which should solve the problem. (really not a big deal for me, but if you need a lined pocket, this might be a negative. The front pocket appears to have a moisture proof zipper, which will be nice for the cell phone. I also like the soft inside collar lining that comes in contact with my neck. It's a nice added touch. This coat has a lot of cool elements that make it very functional. The back of the inside has a very plush lining that I believe will work well to keep in the body heat... and that being said, whenever I put this coat on, I immediately notice how warm it starts getting. It definitely traps your body heat, but I hope it's able to breath also. It's not Gortex, so who knows for $71 it's a steal!.... the Hood, well its a bit huge, but it WILL allow for you to pull it over a warm hat... All in all this is a great coat for the money... I'm impressed, and I'm very very picky and particular about what I get, how it fits, how it's made... I think they hit a home run on this coat.

I had a black version of this fleece for several years and I practically lived in it when it was cold outdoors or the AC was blasting at the office. This makes a worthy replacement and is incredibly comfortable. The blue color is portrayed well in the picture and it appears to be good quality.

fits great and warm as a fast layer
