The MOUNTAIN RUNWAY is a crossover hybrid between hiking and trail-running shoe. It's as fast and flexible as a running shoe, but with a straighter last that makes it ideal for hiking with a light pack.

The uppers are constructed primarily of breathable mesh (combined with synthetic leather for additional support), which means that it continues to provide excellent wear comfort even in hotter conditions.

The ROCKWAVE sole cushions the strike well, even on unmade trails, and provides a sure grip.

As I've noticed with this Columbia style before, the sleeves run a little shorter than I would otherwise expect, so I ordered a size larger than I would have otherwise for a more comfortable fit. The color of the fleece is slightly darker than pictured, but still a nice color. The fleece itself is very soft and stands up against multiple washes.
